About the Conference

The aim of the conference is to assemble academic scientists, researches and practitioners from the region and beyond and to exchange and share their experience and research results related to the global perspectives within the areas covered by the conference.

The conference will be organized in a hybrid format, allowing for on-site and online participation.

Conference Proceedings

All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed and presented in an Book with corresponding ISBN number.
Each Conference participant will receive a certificate of participation at the conference registration desk.

The aim of the conference is to assemble academic scientists, researches and practitioners from the region and beyond and to provide them with space in which they will exchange and share their experience and research results related to the global perspectives within the areas covered by the conference.
Papers which will be accepted and presented at the Conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
Working languages of the Conference are English and Macedonian.
All required information related to the Conference will be sent to the authors via e-mail and published on the Conference webpage.

The topics are the following:

Especially welcomed are papers addressing topics of the following areas:

  • The new security challenges for Europe after the begging of the war in Ukraine;
  • The hybrid threats as the most serious security challenge for the countries of Southeast Europe;
  • The readiness of the police and military authorities to respond to new security threats;
  • The countries’ energy independence and the usage of renewable energy sources;
  • The economic stability in changed flows’ settings of the free market;
  • The European integration and challenges of NATO and EU membership;
  • The development of regional and international cooperation within the modified security surroundings;
  • Managing the modern security risks and crises at international, regional and international level.

In addition, papers addressing topics of other areas that are dedicated to the general theme of the conference are welcomed too, such as Criminology, Criminalistics, Security sciences, Police sciences, Law sciences, Economic sciences, Political sciences, Military sciences, Psychological sciences, etc.

All papers presented at the conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings, indexed in EBSCO and UKLO Repository (http://eprints.uklo.edu.mk/).


ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The abstracts should be written in English.
The abstract should contain the research topic, research questions, participants, methods, results, data analysis, and conclusions. It should also include possible implications of the research.

***Please note that interested authors may NOT send more than two papers (authors of one paper and co-authors of another one).

PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The paper should be written in English, font Times New Roman.
Title of the paper: Capital letters, alignment centred, 14pt.
Author(s): Name, affiliation, e-mail, alignment centred, 12pt.
Abstract: Single paragraph, maximum 250 words, alignment justified, 11pt.
For research articles, abstracts should give a pertinent overview of the work.
The authors are encouraged to use the following style of structured abstracts, without headings:
1. Background: Place the question addressed in the broad context and highlight the purpose of the study;
2. Methods: Describe briefly the main methods or treatments applied;
3. Results: Summarize the main findings of the article, and
4.Conclusion: Indicate the main conclusions or interpretations.
The abstract should be an objective representation of the article, it must not contain results which are not presented and substantiated in the main text and should not exaggerate the main conclusions.
Keywords: Up to five words italicized, alignment justified, 11pt.
Text of the paper: 20.000 – 30.000 characters (with spaces), 1.5 line spacing, alignment justified, 11pt.
Titles of chapters, sections and subsections: bold, 14pt.

Tables: Heading is above the table, bold, 1.5 line spacing, alignment justified, 10pt, numbered sequentially as referred to in the text (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
Figures: Heading is under the table, bold, 1.5 line spacing, alignment justified, 10pt, numbered sequentially as referred to in the text (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).
Citations: APA Style.
